~*~*~My Review ~*~*~

I just finished the most amazing book!!! This is story was not like
anything I have read before. Yes sure it had witches and Knights,
but really this is a very unique story and oh so hot. The watchtower
Knights follow a simple code, they protect the witches it’s simply
that simple. But they had been banished. They were told not to
come back. But all that changes when a witch dies, and another is
kidnapped. Then they are asked to return. Their told not to go near
the witches, but when Alex meets Kam it’s not going to be easy to
stay away. Kam likes Alex but does not want to lose control of her
power. This means, she needs to stay away from him. They both
find it hard to stay away. This is a great romance story and not to
Spoil it I’ll end off with just this.
You need to read this book. It’s just that good.
Now I am off to read book two.
Should Have review for it up Friday.
Happy reading.

~*~*~Description ~*~*~

Kamryn Vale is a Dahnan witch who wants nothing more than
to complete her studies in the World Between and return to
her normal life. But when a sister-witch is murdered and
another kidnapped, Kamryn discovers a dark magic so
terrifying it threatens the safety of both her worlds. Driven by
the need to help in the investigation, Kamryn must deal with
the complications of working with the mysterious Watchtower Knights.

After two hundred years in exile, the Knights have been

invited back to protect the Witches at the Collegium. They
can't afford any mistakes, and Alex knows his attraction for
the fire witch has trouble written all over it.  With one eye on
the investigation and the other on Kamryn, Alex must
balance his obligation to duty with the needs of his heart.

~*~*~ Expert ~*~*~:

Kamryn felt as though she'd hardly closed her eyes before
she jerked awake, alerted by some external sound.
Heart racing, ears pricked, she listened for any strange noise
but there was nothing. Slowing her breathing she filtered out
the creaks and groans of the ancient building they lived in,
straining to detect the slightest anomaly. Still nothing.

"Kam," he whispered, and she nearly shot off the mattress.
In fact, she had one foot on the floor before she remembered

she was naked and hurled herself back into bed. Her hands
shook as she clutched the sheets, matching the tremors that

raced through the rest of her body. "Kam, I know you're
awake, you need to answer me sweetheart." Alex, the clueless idiot.
"Get the hell out of my room," she hissed, her fury whipped
forward by her fear. She sat up, scrambling for the sheets to
cover herself as her anger spiked and every candle in the room flamed to life.
Her pulse jackhammered as she
searched the room and found Alex standing with his back to
the door. He had the nerve to smile at her and those green
eyes of his sparkled with mischief.
Kam refused to be diverted, she needed to stay angry if she was going to get him out of her room.
"Now look what you've done." She gesticulated with one arm at the brightly lit room.
"I didn't do anything." He lifted his hands, all innocence.
"I thought you lit them so I could see you.
You look gorgeous, by the way."
Then he lifted up on his toes and tried to peer
down her cleavage.
"I didn't do it for your benefit. You scared me, and this," she
waved a hand around the room again, "is what happens
when a fire witch of my power has a fight or flight response."
"You set candles on fire."
Really? Could a smart guy - a hot, smart guy - really be so clueless?
"I don't just set candles on fire, I'll set anything on fire."
She took a breath, scoped out his sex-god six and half foot
frame, and tried to ignore the heat in his eyes. She just had
to keep telling herself he was bad for her, that the ability to
kiss her senseless was no excuse for him to be in her room.
He shuffled closer and eased down on the bed,
his arms firmly trapping the sheet at either side of her hips. She
couldn't move forward or she'd press up against him, and she
couldn't move back without exposing her naked chest. And
then he licked those full, pouty lips and the parts of her body
that had nothing to do with her brain woke up with a vengeance.
He leaned in close enough that she could feel the warmth of
his breath on her lips. "You still owe me a kiss, sweetheart."
She had to swallow - twice. "You need to get that kiss thing
out of your head. Kissing you is dangerous is ways I don't
even want to think about right now."
"Then don't think. Just feel."
And then her stupid, traitorous body gave in with barely a
quiver, and before she could stop herself she was leaning
into all that glorious male heat.

.
I like radical career changes. After serving in the Australian Navy
for ten years (and being exceptionally disciplined) I switched to a
full-time university Arts student (where getting out of bed before
11am proved traumatic). I’ve worked as a teacher, an editor, and
now I write full time - a career I plan to stick with for as long as
anyone wants to read my stories.
I’m an avid reader and movie-goer, an amateur bellydancer, and a
disinterested cook. I live on the beautiful south-east coast of
Australia where the changeable weather suits my mercurial nature.
I write spicy paranormal romance as Delwyn Jenkins and I also
write erotic romance under the pen-name DJ Michaels.
I love hearing from readers, so here are my social media links.
