This book was suggested to me, and I am so glad I took the
time to read it. It is a mix of scifi and romance. The lead is
a wonderful young woman just a plain Jane type and she is in
love with the Winter Lord. When they first meet Aurden( the
winter Lord) is really intrigued by Dawn. She dose not look at
him like the others do. she seems to see the man not a God
(which he is not). Dawn ends up in an altercation and when
Aurden see she is in love with him he is amazed more by her,
So much that he wants to marry her. But he is keeping
a secret from her, and when she finds out it may just ruin
everything. This was truly a great read, And I can not wait for
book two. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you
do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The
Authors really like it when you do, they value your opinions too.

The Winter Lord is a man like no other. He rules the world
together with the Summer Lady, the Autumn Lord and the
Lady of Spring. That alone says that the Winter Lord is the
wrong man to fall in love with, but Dawn loves him anyway.
The last thing Dawn expects is to be placed inside the Winter
Lord's prison because of a minor dispute. When he visits her
and asks her to marry him, Dawn knows that nothing will ever
be the same again. Her entire world is put into a spin, but
soon, she realizes that things aren't as they should be. The
Winter Lord is hiding something, and when the truth is
revealed, she understands that only one thing can save her life ...

Love.

“My L ... I mean, Audren. About what happened yesterday ...”

“Yes, I came here to talk with you about that. As you know,
I am the judge of this town, and if a law is broken, I judge.”

“Yes, I know ...” Her nervousness awakened within her
again. “But I don't understand why I'm here. I didn't do anything.”

“Can you tell me what happened?”

“Well, after our meeting, I looked for my brother Eric. It took
me a while to find him, and when I did, he was arguing with
Mira. She had broken our mother's milk bottle, and I told her
that she had to repay it. She went crazy and pushed me
against the building, and that was when the guards showed
up. They arrested us, and here we are.”

“I see. If you think about this from the guards point of view,
what do you see then?”

Dawn gave it a thought, and when it hit her, she sighed.
“They thought I was in danger.”

“Exactly, and the only way to figure out what was going on
was to take all of you here and let me judge you. I have
already spoken with Mira and your brother. Now it's your turn.
Eric has been sent home, but Mira will stay here a few more
days to reconsider her actions. A healer will help her with her
anger issues.”

“I have already told you what happened. I don't know what
 else I can give you.”

A glow in white and light blue colors surrounded his hand.
The colors swirled around his hand in slow and harmonic
movements. A cold chill went through Dawn when she saw it.
She knew what it meant.

“Give me your hand, Dawn.”

Dawn fled from the bed with a squeak and pressed herself
against the stone wall as far away from his as possible.
Surprise filled his marvelous eyes.

“This isn't going to hurt, Dawn. There will only be a tingling feeling.”

Dawn didn't listen. “Please, don't read my mind. Please, I beg you.”

He got up from the bed and approached her. “Dawn ...”

“Anything, but that, My Lord. Isn't reading Eric's and Mira's
minds enough?”

Her desperation rose. He couldn't find out how she felt
about him! If he did, her entire world would collapse. He
would never be hers, so there was no need for him to know.
But if he found out and turned her down, it would break her
heart. It would destroy her.

“No,” he said. “I need to see the whole picture, and you
don't need to worry. Whatever secret I will see, will remain yours.”

She shook her head and couldn't hold back her tears. “You

don't understand. You will find out everything about me ...”

“Yes, that's how this works, Dawn.” He stood in front of her
with so much understanding in his beautiful eyes that it made
her cry even more.

He raised his hand toward her face and dried away her
tears with his thumb. Her body trembled, and she didn't know
what to do with herself. She was stuck. The door to the cell
was behind him. She hadn't heard him lock it, but she
doubted she would reach it before he caught her.

“Everything is going to be all right,” he assured her.
Dawn could only watch as he grabbed her hand. There was nothing she could do to stop him. When she felt the tingling
feeling he had mentioned, she closed her eyes and hoped
that everything would be over fast. His hand was warm, his
touch was firm but gentle. She had no idea what went on
inside of him, but silence surrounded them for several minutes.

Eventually, she dared to open her eyes and look at him.
She didn't know what to expect when she met his gaze. She
assumed he knew everything now. Her love, her devotion,
her desire and passion for him was probably no longer a secret.

Yes. He knew.

It was written all over his face.
