Alena Sommer isn’t one to run from adversity. But when the
child she's been governess to dies, she boldly seeks a new
life in Idaho Territory by accepting a marriage proposal from
a man she’s never met. When she arrives in Sawtooth City
she finds the mines are in financial trouble and the man she
was to marry is dead. Determined to stay, she ignores the
warnings about harsh winters known to plague the Sawtooth
Mountains. Will the same man who warns her to leave be
the one who gives her the strength to stay? Surviving
winter’s threat will take more than courage; it will require
mettle forged of two strong wills.

Oh my God! Damn what a book. Now that I composed myself
I think I can honestly review this book now. This book this
extremely well-crafted. It has a good flow and is easy to read.
What a wonderful story. I so enjoyed this trip to the past.
It was so well-written and thought out as well as a great read.

This is Lena and Evan's story. Lena is a mail order bride and
is heading to her new life in sawtooth. But when she arrives
she finds her betrothed has passed away. Lena being one,
she is never to be at a loss as to what to do. She sets out to
do what she planned and run the boarding house her lat
betrothed left behind. That is where she meets Evan. But
they both need to make some changes. And with each
other’s help they just may be able to do it. And as they go
they fall in love even if neither will admit it. Both have
dreams but can't see past their noses to what is right for
them. Now he goes to help some women get to the next
town and a blizzard hits now keeping them apart. Now he
just has to find his way back to her. And she prays he will.
You will have to read the book to find out. But you will so
enjoy it.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it
when you do; they value your opinions too

Samantha St. Claire divides her time between her homes in
Idaho and the Olympic Peninsula. Traveling along the old
Oregon trail has provides her with the wild landscapes and
historic inspiration for this exciting new series, The Sawtooth
Range. Her own pioneer roots have stirred her interest in the
early settlements of Idaho and Montana.

You can connect with Samantha here. Coming in winter 2018
are two more novels, Comes the Winter and Redeeming
Lies. Look for a cover reveal in November 2017.
